I have acid reflux, and wake up at 3:00 every night.Pains that move around my chest.I can take a ibuprofin or tylenol and I’m asleep again.I’ve quit for 6 days now.I didn’t smoke heavy just every day for years. The pains come and go every day.I’m 49 and am ashamed to talk to a doctor.

You can either be ashamed to talk to a doctor, or be stupid NOT to talk to a doctor.
Don’t be stupid, talk to a doctor.
I would talk to the doctor about the pains and if he asks about the “smot poking” then tell him. I don’t really think that smoking can give you acid reflux, but definitely go to the doctor, I know acid reflux is painful. Good luck!!
I quit and if Im lucky enough to fall asleep, I too wake up at 3 am on the dot,
Doctors tried giving me sleeping pills, but they make me cranky the next day and sluggish,
Its been months now, I just deal with it, sux though
Edit: the pains go away, I forgot about those, its just all the crap coming out of you lungs exposing tissue to real air again, you’ll come out of it in a few weeks, still worth telling a doctor about just to be safe, but I had that too and it went away, the sleep thing though is permanent for me…
Your doctor has heard much worse things then that. Your doctor has seen much worse then anything you would probably show him!
I have never heard to that happening, but you might as well ask.
You would also just get medication for the acid reflex and if it works then you do not have to talk to him about the smoking at all…
